Here's how the conversation went:
Heather: Tonight is family home evening!
Thomas: Watch a movie?
Heather: At this point, Thomas, I would be happy having family home evening or watching a movie. (It had been a long day)
Thomas: Watch a movie!
Michael: No, daddy has veto power. We're having family home evening.
Heather: OK Thomas, we're going to have family home evening and sing and play games!
Thomas: No, daddy go do it.
Apparently movies with mom is a lot more fun than family home evening with dad, especially at 7:30 at night. So what are we going to do tonight? Have Family Home Evening, because I still have veto power in my home (when Heather lets me).

That is really nice of Heather to let you have veto power sometimes.
What's wrong with watching a movie for FHE? I'm with you Thomas! But, then again, a lesson is good too. Hooray for dads with veto power!
