Health wise

So, Dad, Amy, Jill and I have been working with a personal trainer twice a week for a few months. Progress is slow, but we have made improvements. The one who is most noticeably trim is Dad. We have recently discovered that our diet plays a huge part in this as well so would be most interested is any quick and easy, healthy snack, breakfast, lunch and dinner ideas, that also taste good. We came across a great burger recipe that was a big hit with everyone.

Best Summer Burger: 1 egg, 1 lb lean ground beef, 1/2 c. oats, 1/3 c. diced onion, 1/2 c. chopped spinach (we used frozen), 2 T. reduced-fat shredded Mexican-blend cheese (we also added Spade L seasoning). Mix everything and form into patties. Place burgers in non stick skillet over med-high heat (we cooked on barbecue). cook for about 6 minutes on each side. serve on whole grain bun. 321 cal. per serving. Tip: If you make an indentation with your finger in the middle of your pattie (before cooking) it cooks better and doesn't shrink.

We welcome any suggestions. I love you all! Mom

oooh, that sounds yummy! I'm always looking for higher protein meals lately, I crave meat and it helps with my constant light-headedness. Poor Mike, all I want to eat is stew and meatloaf in the middle of the summer.
